failsafe recovery / reset

failsafe recovery is a method to reset the configuration that the tp link mr3020 has. it's pretty easy. Here's the step:


  • turn off the device
  • turn on while press & hold  the wps button for about 5-10 sec
link mr3020 reset configuration

that's it. now you can access the router with it's default ip (192.168.1.1) with telnet. Don't forget to change the ip of your pc to 192.168.1.(2-254) :)



 nb: be aware of it because it will reset all the configuration you've been set to the default...! only use it if you can't access your router (etc: wrong configuration changing the firewall top drop access from your pc )

    I tried failsafe recovery. But when I typed
    ping 192.168.1.1 nothing happened and just time-out...

      Its 192.168.0.254 for this model.

    if failsafe recovery didn't work then u must buy a DKU-5/CA-42 cable (serial to usb), open the mr3020 case, And perform reset from serial port console.

    i just upgraded the firmware to TL-MR3020_V1_140610.
    the upgrade was success, but all password stop working (even the default one).
    i can't access the router.
    i've tried all suggestion to reset the router to no avail.
    is there any other way to reset the router back to its factory setting?

    failsafe itu untuk openwrt atau firmware asli mr3020 juga ada? untuk firmware asli mr3020 sendiri, setelah masuk failsafe langkah apa lagi selanjutnya gan?
